Day 336 - January 15th, 2011

Today, I finally let myself sleep in for the first time this Maui trip, since it was my 24th birthday. Later, I joined up with Mike Carino of Carino Studios to shoot a wedding all afternoon and evening at the Hui Noeau.

Today, I finally let myself sleep in for the first time this Maui trip, since it was my 24th birthday. Later, I joined up with Mike Carino of Carino Studios to shoot a wedding all afternoon and evening at the Hui Noeau.

Today, I spent 12.5 hours covering George and Margaret's Waikiki wedding (with a midday Chinese tea ceremony in Salt Lake). Later, after I finally got home, I worked on uploading photos to the computer and made myself chocolate cookies to celebrate surviving.

Today, I left early for Kailua to photograph Danny and Catherine's Vietnamese wedding tea ceremony before heading to Waikiki for the Western-style ceremony at the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel's chapel. Reid assisted me for that part, thanks Reid! Later, I went to the reception, which was really crowded and hectic, but nice. My favorite shot of the night was this one, during the father/daughter dance.

Today, I got up super early to drive out to Ko Olina to shoot Jonas Maon's sister's wedding. Later, (after a 4 hour break spent at Starbucks relaxing and working on NaNoWriMo, which started today) I joined up with the bride and groom again for a sunset portrait session at the Ko Olina lagoons before their reception in Kapolei.

Today, I got up early and prepped for the wedding today, despite having a full-fledged head cold. Errands included buying extension cords and meds at the NEX, and then picking up gear from Hawaii Photo Rental. Later, I was joined by Marc Orbito in shooting Tomi and Cameron's wedding. This will be my only preview image from this wedding until I decide if I want to submit my photos to any wedding magazines or blogs!

Today, I got up late and did chores for a while, until Gabe came over to babysit Koda. Later, I drove out to Hau'ula to photograph John and Melanie's 10/10/10 wedding. Congratulations!

Today, I went to Pupukea to photograph Liz and Kristian's beautiful wedding. Later, I came home and was plagued with computer problems, but with the help of my husband managed to pull the bad (and unused!) hard drive that was causing the trouble.

Today, I flew to Maui early in the morning, and got to go home for a little while before getting picked up by Mike Carino and Mike Orbito. Later, we spent the afternoon and evening shooting Mike Carino's cousin's wedding in Wailea and Wailuku.
This daily was posted late due to technical difficulties and schedules, but the photo was taken that day.

Today, I shot Appi's friend's wedding over at Bellows, which was my first time there. Later, I came home and started picking through all the photos I've shot in the last couple days. So much editing to do!
